Why your skincare routine is not working?(and what actually makes a difference)
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right… but your skin still doesn’t improve?
If yes, we need to talk.
I’ve heard that before. Actually this is something I hear almost every day in my salon. You’re using good products. You’re consistent. You’re trying new trends. And still … your skin feels reactive, congested, or just… not glowing.
Can I tell you the truth? It’s usually not about doing MORE. It’s about doing the RIGHT things for your skin.
The most common mistakes I see (and the ones I also did before).
Using too many products…More is not better.
Layering acids, retinol, vitamin C, and different serums often leads to irritation, redness and damages skin barrier.
Following social media instead of listening to your skin
Trends are not personalized.
What works for someone on TikTok might be completely wrong for your skin type.
I often see clients who unintentionally over-treat or mistreat their skin because of this.
Focusing only on products — not treatments
Homecare is important, but it has limits.
If your goal is anti-aging, acne improvement, skin texture refinement seek for professional treatments to activate real change in the skin!
Damaging the skin barrier
This is one of the biggest hidden problems.
The signs are sensitivity, redness, breakouts AND dryness at the same time. The reason? Over-exfoliation,too strong actives, wrong combinations. And once the barrier is damaged nothing works properly anymore.
What actually makes a difference?
A personalized plan-No skin is the same.
That’s why in my treatments, I always combine skin analysis, targeted treatments, simple but effective homecare! (Trust me, it’s the most important part!)
Professional treatments with a purpose.Treatments are not just “relaxing facials”.They can stimulate collagen, deeply hydrate, improve skin structure, support long-term skin health. Consistency is key. NOT one random treatment! Supporting your skin, healthy skin is about balance. Sometimes the best results come from fewer products, better quality ingredients, the right treatment timing
My approach in the salon;
I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” facials.
Every treatment is adapted to your skin condition and your goals. Whether your focus is anti-aging, hydration, acne or simply a healthy glow we build a plan that actually works.
Final thought
If your skin isn’t improving it’s not because your skin is “difficult”.
It’s usually because it hasn’t been understood properly yet.
